WordPress hosting powered by cPanel

We optimize cPanel to provide a faster, securer, WordPress hosting experience.

What is cPanel?

Manage any site, no matter how big or small in moments.

We utilize the industry standard control panel, cPanel, for all of our hosting. Reliable and jam-packed with features, cPanel has proven to be the most intuitive control panel over the past decade.

cPanel‘s graphical interface and automation tools simplify the process of hosting your website and give you easy access to carry out a number of tasks such as; creating backups, viewing disk usage, and interacting with the databases on your site, along with much more.

Email with advanced spam filtering

Create email accounts, forwarders, and autoresponders.

cPanel allows you to create email accounts, email forwarders, auto responders and much more from a few clicks.

cPanel Mail also comes equipped with Email Authentication tools and SpamAssassin – an advanced spam prevention and protection system.

We then provide a full mailscanner integration to provide a high end spam & virus scanning system on all incoming and outgoing mail.

Secure WordPress hosting

We invest our time and money into the best cyber-security technologies available.

All file uploads, code changes and traffic is also scanned and cleaned of anything that may harm your site. We actively monitor every site on our network, alerting us to issues that most hosts won’t even touch. We then clean and restore, and patch any security holes. This approach, combined with our finely tuned technology stack and real time security threat detection means our platform can meet even the most demanding security requirements. Fail2ban allows us to lock out botnets, whilst NGINX allows us to rate limit attacks & filter our traffic.

Any security holes that we do find on our network are automatically patched on every site we host, meaning you’re on the bleeding-edge of security updates.

Automated daily backups for disaster recovery

You’ll never worry about lost information again.

Create account, full website and database backups instantly with cPanel‘s backup interface. Partial backup files will also store individual sections of your account, so you never lose a single file.

We automatically backup your site nightly, and remotely for disaster recovery.

Our backup systems are provided by Amazon S3 storage, which is kept in the UK.

Manage files with cPanel

Edit and backup while monitoring your disk space.

cPanel provides a full file manager to allow you to edit/upload/delete/create all within a web browser.

cPanel also provides a full PHPmyAdmin interface to manage your databases in moments.

Advanced WordPress performance with nginx & PHP 7

NGINX is an open source, lightweight, high-performance web server designed to replace Apache. Nginx accelerates content and application delivery, improves security and facilitates availability and scalability.

Most of our customers come to us from previously using Apache as their web server, especially in front of a PHP-based system using mod-PHP. We replace Apache with NGINX and utilize PHP-FPM which allows for PHP 7 to run as an application server. Doing it in this way allows FPM to cache results for future uses. This, in turn, provides a faster, less intensive usage scenario that means even our personal packages can handle huge amounts of concurrent users.

Secure WordPress hosting that works

At FreshSites, our job is to provide a hosting platform that is resistant to cyber attacks. We can guarantee that your website will be hosted in a completely secure environment, keeping it safe from data breaches and other malicious acts. Security is imperative to any site as a secure site not only offers protection but runs faster and ranks higher within search engine results.

Any security holes that we do find on our network are automatically patched on every site we host, meaning you’re on the bleeding-edge of security updates.

All file uploads, code changes and traffic is scanned and cleaned of anything that may harm your site. We actively monitor every site on our network, alerting us to issues that most hosts won’t even touch. We then clean and restore, and patch any security holes. This approach, combined with our finely tuned technology stack and real-time security threat detection means our platform can meet even the most demanding security requirements.

The Exploit Scan and Summary produces a check of installed web scripts for known hacking scripts which highlight exploited web applications. It also checks in commonly abused disk directories for any active exploits as well as a scan of all running processes. If exploits are found on the server, they are cleaned and moved to quarantine where we then patch the hole.

FreshSites utilize the mailscanner system for all email accounts provided. This blocks email addresses based on global spam checking systems. All incoming and outgoing mail is scanned, and any bad emails are blocked.

We also scan any email being sent from your website, so if a hack is found, it’s cleaned and any bad emails it may have tried to send are blocked.

FreshSites utilize a full-featured Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall application and Exploit Scanner. This allows us to scan for bad traffic and deal with it before it affects your site.

Our systems are linked in with global lists of malware detection and scanned as uploaded for any known malware as well as nightly for a deep scan.
