At FreshSites', protecting your data is one of our top priorities. Here, we have compiled some frequently asked questions about General Data Protection Regulation and how we handle your data.
All data for live sites is kept in the UK, with our backups being located in Republic of Ireland/Dublin, so all within the EU.
The data itself isn't encrypted (in terms of your hosting files) because these need to be publicly visible to people viewing the website, however we do provide full SSL coverage on all websites which encrypts the transfer of data to and from visitors.
Databases - Where your likely to store any data for your Woocommerce clients etc is restricted to localhost access only. This means access via your site, which logs into MySQL via password and through cPanel (password protected) is possible.
Backups are not publicly available and only accessible to staff via secure key file authentication.
Only staff who require access to any specific data have access to it, this is via authenticated secure password login across encrypted connection, and where possible, via secure key file authentication.
We do not share any data with third parties.
